Description: Discover the various ways a check can be utilized in MICROS RES 3700 with Shift4 Bridge.
Note: MICROS RES 3700 menu options can be customized and some of the button options may be named differently in your system.
Start a New Check (Quick Serve)
The guest's credit card is authorized and the check is closed at the time of order.
- Add items to the check.
- Press CC Auth and Final to authorize and close the guest check.
- Press Send\Fire order.
Start a New Check (Cafe Style) w/ Charge Tip
Guest credit card is authorized at the time of order but the check is not closed, allowing tips to be added prior to closing the check.
- Add items to the check.
- Press CC Auth.
- Press Send\Fire order.
- Press the C.C. Final key.
- At this time, add the tip amount and the amount owed together.
- Enter the resulting total amount into the screen.
- Select Enter to submit the new total and close the check.
- The amount that exceeds the amount owed will reflect as the tip amount.
A New Open Check (Tab/Bar Style)
The check remains open with a card on file each time new items are ordered the card is authorized until closed.
- Add items to the check.
- Press CC Auth.
- Authorize the current amount owed.
- Press Send\Fire order.
To add additional items:
- Pick up the check.
- Add menu items.
- Press CC Auth.
- Authorize the current amount owed.
- Press Send\Fire order.
Start a New Check (Restaurant Style)
The order is not authorized until the check is delivered tableside and the guest has provided a credit card.
- Add items to check.
- Press Send\Fire order.
To add additional items:
- Pick up the check.
- Add menu items.
Finalize Open Check
- Pick up the open check.
- Press CC Auth and Final to authorize and close the guest check.
- Click Enter to close the check.
Finalize Open Check w/ Charge Tip
- Pick up the open check.
- Press CC Auth and Final to authorize and close the guest check.
- At this time, add the tip amount and the amount owed together.
- Enter the resulting total amount into the screen.
- Press Enter to submit the new total and close the check.
- The amount that exceeds the amount owed will reflect as the tip amount. This will not double-charge the guest.
