Create, Edit and Close Checks in Micros RES 3700 with Shift4 Bridge

Description: Discover the various ways a check can be utilized in MICROS RES 3700 with Shift4 Bridge.

Note: MICROS RES 3700 menu options can be customized and some of the button options may be named differently in your system.

Start a New Check (Quick Serve)

The guest's credit card is authorized and the check is closed at the time of order.

  1. Add items to the check.
  2. Press CC Auth and Final to authorize and close the guest check.
  3. Press Send\Fire order.

Start a New Check (Cafe Style) w/ Charge Tip

Guest credit card is authorized at the time of order but the check is not closed, allowing tips to be added prior to closing the check. 

  1. Add items to the check.
  2. Press CC Auth.
  3. Press Send\Fire order.
  4. Press the C.C. Final key. 
  5. At this time, add the tip amount and the amount owed together.
  6. Enter the resulting total amount into the screen.
  7. Select Enter to submit the new total and close the check.
    • The amount that exceeds the amount owed will reflect as the tip amount.

A New Open Check (Tab/Bar Style)

The check remains open with a card on file each time new items are ordered the card is authorized until closed.

  1. Add items to the check.
  2. Press CC Auth.
    • Authorize the current amount owed.
  3. Press Send\Fire order.

To add additional items:

  1. Pick up the check.
  2. Add menu items.
  3. Press CC Auth.
    • Authorize the current amount owed.
  4. Press Send\Fire order.

Start a New Check (Restaurant Style)

The order is not authorized until the check is delivered tableside and the guest has provided a credit card.

  1. Add items to check.
  2. Press Send\Fire order.

To add additional items:

  1. Pick up the check.
  2. Add menu items.

Finalize Open Check

  1. Pick up the open check.
  2. Press CC Auth and Final to authorize and close the guest check.
  3. Click Enter to close the check.

 

Finalize Open Check w/ Charge Tip

  1. Pick up the open check.
  2. Press CC Auth and Final to authorize and close the guest check.
  3. At this time, add the tip amount and the amount owed together.
  4. Enter the resulting total amount into the screen.
  5. Press Enter to submit the new total and close the check.
    • The amount that exceeds the amount owed will reflect as the tip amount. This will not double-charge the guest.
