Description: This article covers installing and configuring OPI for use with Shift4 systems, allowing you to take advantage of the credit card processing features provided by OPI.
Open Oracle Payment Interface by opening the File Explorer under the Start Menu. From there:
- Navigate to the C:\ drive
- Select Oracle Payment Interface
- Select v6.2
- Select Config
- Select Launch Configuration
After Selecting Launch Configuration a window will pop up briefly before the application opens. Do not close this window!

Once the application opens, You will need to log in with your Windows Admin Credentials. Once logged in, perform the following:
- Select the Configuration Tab at the top
- Select the PSP Configuration option from the menu on the left
- Set the terminal Port to 8084
- Terminal Context: enter a description
- Set the Communication Timeout to 60
- Set the Connect Timeout to 10

Select the Merchants option from the menu on the left and identify the merchant location in use, select the Edit icon next to this. Then, on the page that opens select the Merchant Information tab and configures the following:
- Select Merchant Type
- Enter Merchant ID
- Enter Name
- Enter City
- Select State
- Select Country

Select the Terminals tab on this page:
- Select the add option to add a new terminal { + ]
- Configure the following for each added device:
- The Workstation ID is the Terminal ID that OPI\UTG will use for device control and mapping
- The IP Address of the terminal
- Repeat for each device for this setup
- Once done with the above, Save the configuration at the top right
