What causes this error?
An error stating "Unexpected Error - We're sorry, you have encountered a temporary error and the webmaster has been notified" appears in Lighthouse Transaction Manager (LTM) when attempting to complete a function in LTM that fails due to an unhandled exception. For example, this may happen when trying to close a batch, select a report in archives, void a transaction, or import a .CSV file.
This is typically due to a caching or cookie issue with the browser or if the browser in use updated recently and changed the method in which the requested data is handled.
How do I resolve this error?
The majority of these issues are caused by bad/expired/corrupted cookies and cache details so the first step is to clear this data to resolve the issue. If it continues to throw the error after this, try a different web browser, as it is possible that your web browser of choice updated or made changes to the way data is handled within it which is now throwing an exception.
